Who must register as a representative?
Anyone actively involved in a firm's investment banking or securities business must be registered as a representative with FINRA. Their duties may include supervision, solicitation, or training of persons associated with the member.
Where do I get the ORI number to submit to you?
The ORI number identifies the correct profession and the agency that is responsible for processing your request. The ORI numbers are listed on documents from the requesting agency or may be found on the web.
How long are my fingerprints valid for?
The FDLE retains the prints for 180 days only. If your prints have expired at the time your application is submitted to the department, you will be required to submit new prints again.
When should I submit my fingerprints if I am applying for a license?
We suggest that you submit your fingerprints at least 5 days prior to submitting your application for license.
How long will my information be stored?

How do I request copies of my stored data?
Data can be requested via phone or email. State specific cards will need to be mailed to Safe Scan Fingerprinting for completion or we can provide standard FBI (FD258) cards.
What are hard cards?
Hard-cards is the term used for the document upon which digitally scanned fingerprints are printed. They are considered equivalent to traditional ink fingerprints.
What is an FBI Channeler?
An FBI-approved Channeler is a contractor authorized to transmit digital fingerprints to the FBI and receive FBI criminal history record information (CHRI) for authorized noncriminal justice purposes.
How long does it take to receive Live Scan results?
Results may be received in as little as 3 to 48 hours.
